Voici comment ils y sont parvenus.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il est rare qu\u2019une carri\u00e8re professionnelle se r\u00e9sume \u00e0 une longue ascension sans emb\u00fbche. Une r\u00e9cente \u00e9tude men\u00e9e aupr\u00e8s de 2 600 hauts dirigeants suivis pendant dix ans \u00e0 travers le monde, et r\u00e9dig\u00e9e par deux consultantes d\u2019un cabinet am\u00e9ricain sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 dans l\u2019\u00e9valuation des hauts dirigeants, vient de montrer que 45 % d\u2019entre eux ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 connu une s\u00e9rieuse d\u00e9convenue professionnelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s un licenciement, un gros contrat manqu\u00e9 ou une acquisition rat\u00e9e, pr\u00e8s de 80 % d\u2019entre eux sont pourtant parvenus \u00e0 briguer un poste de direction g\u00e9n\u00e9rale. Pour comprendre comment ils y sont parvenus, les deux expertes ont interrog\u00e9 360 dirigeants. Leur objectif : identifier les bonnes pratiques qui permettent de se relever d\u2019un s\u00e9rieux \u00e9chec professionnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tirer des le\u00e7ons de ses erreurs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Avoir occup\u00e9 un poste de direction \u00e0 tr\u00e8s haut niveau ne garantit pas de retrouver un emploi apr\u00e8s un licenciement ou une mise \u00e0 pied. L\u2019\u00e9tude le souligne, les dirigeants mis \u00e0 pied ou licenci\u00e9s ont moins de chances d\u2019obtenir un avis favorable lors d\u2019un entretien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pourtant, dans certains cas, ces profils sont per\u00e7us comme plus comp\u00e9tents que d\u2019autres par les sp\u00e9cialistes du recrutement : \u00ab\u00a0Quand l\u2019entretien s\u2019est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 en pr\u00e9sence d\u2019un expert ext\u00e9rieur engag\u00e9 par l\u2019employeur pour pr\u00e9venir les erreurs de casting, 33 % des dirigeants qui ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 licenci\u00e9s ont \u00e9t\u00e9 recommand\u00e9s par l\u2019expert contre 27 % des candidats n\u2019ayant jamais connu de licenciement\u00a0\u00bb, expliquent Elena Lytkina Botelho et Kim Rosenkoetter Powell, les deux expertes am\u00e9ricaines, dans un article paru dans la\u00a0<em>Harvard Business Review<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les plus convaincants sont ceux qui assument leurs erreurs et montrent qu\u2019ils les ont suffisamment analys\u00e9es pour minimiser les risques de les r\u00e9p\u00e9ter. Selon l\u2019\u00e9tude, ceux-l\u00e0 sont per\u00e7us comme plus confiants et sympathiques aupr\u00e8s des recruteurs, ce qui augmente leurs chances d\u2019\u00eatre recrut\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mettre son r\u00e9seau \u00e0 contribution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Par leur parcours acad\u00e9mique, leur milieu social et leur exp\u00e9rience professionnel, ces profils b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient d\u2019un r\u00e9seau social personnel et professionnel plus large et plus pertinent que la moyenne, ce qui augmente leur employabilit\u00e9 et leur possibilit\u00e9 de rebondir. Mais c\u2019est bien le r\u00e9seau professionnel qui est le plus efficace. D\u2019apr\u00e8s l\u2019\u00e9tude, 59 % des dirigeants sond\u00e9s ont retrouv\u00e9 un poste gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 leur r\u00e9seau professionnel, contre 28 % via un cabinet de recrutement ou leur r\u00e9seau personnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Faire confiance \u00e0 son exp\u00e9rience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s un licenciement, les hauts dirigeants ont davantage int\u00e9r\u00eat \u00e0 chercher un emploi dans un secteur qu\u2019ils connaissent. Alors qu\u2019au total, 68 % des dirigeants ont retrouv\u00e9 un poste dans les six mois qui ont suivi leur licenciement, 94 % de ceux qui ont fait le choix de chercher dans un secteur qu\u2019ils connaissent ont retrouv\u00e9 un job au cours de la m\u00eame p\u00e9riode.
