Une d\u00e9monstration technologique qui s\u2019inscrit dans une ambition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique bien plus large.<\/h2>\n<p>Pour la premi\u00e8re fois, les \u00c9tats-Unis ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 transporter un micror\u00e9acteur nucl\u00e9aire par avion. Le vol s&rsquo;est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 le 15 f\u00e9vrier 2026, lors de l&rsquo;op\u00e9ration\u00a0<em>Windlord<\/em>\u00a0de l&rsquo;US\u00a0<span class=\"definition loaded bottom-popup\" aria-describedby=\"chimie-air\" data-definition=\"4452\">Air<\/span>\u00a0Force. Selon\u00a0le communiqu\u00e9\u00a0du D\u00e9partement de la Guerre (ou D\u00e9partement de la D\u00e9fense), cette op\u00e9ration vise \u00ab\u00a0<em>un avenir de domination \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique am\u00e9ricaine\u00a0<\/em>\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Le micror\u00e9acteur en question est un Ward250 de 5 m\u00e9gawatts divis\u00e9 en huit modules s\u00e9par\u00e9s, dont le transport a n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 trois avions C-17. Le but de la man\u0153uvre est bien entendu de montrer qu&rsquo;il est possible de d\u00e9sassembler un\u00a0micror\u00e9acteur\u00a0et de le transporter par les airs. Mais surtout, cela s&rsquo;inscrit dans le projet Janus, qui vise \u00e0 fournir les forces arm\u00e9es am\u00e9ricaines en\u00a0<span class=\"definition\" aria-describedby=\"energie-energie\" data-definition=\"15884\">\u00e9nergie<\/span>\u00a0ind\u00e9pendamment du\u00a0<span class=\"definition\" aria-describedby=\"maison-reseau-electrique\" data-definition=\"10888\">r\u00e9seau \u00e9lectrique<\/span>\u00a0civil.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Des micror\u00e9acteurs et des gigasites<\/h2>\n<p>Cette avanc\u00e9e montre qu&rsquo;il est possible de d\u00e9ployer rapidement un\u00a0micror\u00e9acteur nucl\u00e9aire\u00a0modulaire (SMR) sur n&rsquo;importe quel site dot\u00e9 d&rsquo;une piste d&rsquo;atterrissage d&rsquo;un kilom\u00e8tre. Bien entendu, une fois sur place, il aura besoin d&rsquo;\u00eatre assembl\u00e9. Sa mise en route est pr\u00e9vue d&rsquo;ici le 4 juillet.<\/p>\n<p>Le Ward250 est un micror\u00e9acteur de g\u00e9n\u00e9ration IV, construit par Valar Atomics.
