La course au mod\u00e8le le plus puissant serait-elle une fausse piste ? C\u2019est, en substance, ce que sugg\u00e8re Satya Nadella dans\u00a0une longue r\u00e9flexion publi\u00e9e sur X<\/a>\u00a0ce dimanche 14 juin. Le patron de Microsoft ne nie pas la puissance de l\u2019IA g\u00e9n\u00e9rative, mais il pose une limite claire : \u00ab\u00a0sans direction humaine, vous avez de la puissance de calcul qui tourne en rond.\u00a0\u00bb Une phrase s\u00e8che, presque provocatrice, qui r\u00e9sume toute sa th\u00e8se. L\u2019enjeu n\u2019est pas de choisir le meilleur mod\u00e8le du moment, mais de construire autour de lui une boucle d\u2019apprentissage o\u00f9 le jugement humain et la capacit\u00e9 des machines se renforcent mutuellement. Il absorbe, il optimise, il g\u00e9n\u00e8re. Mais c\u2019est l\u2019humain qui d\u00e9cide ce qui vaut la peine d\u2019\u00eatre optimis\u00e9. Une entreprise qui d\u00e9l\u00e8gue ses workflows \u00e0 un mod\u00e8le g\u00e9n\u00e9raliste sans en garder la ma\u00eetrise ne construit rien. Cette vision tranche avec le discours ambiant sur la destruction des emplois.\u00a0Mustafa Suleyman, patron de l\u2019IA chez Microsoft, avait lui-m\u00eame revu ses pr\u00e9dictions les plus alarmistes sur le sujet. Nadella va plus loin : le capital humain, dit-il, ne perd pas de valeur \u00e0 mesure que l\u2019IA progresse. Il en gagne. Ce sont les humains qui fixent les objectifs ambitieux, connectent les domaines, reconnaissent les patterns qui comptent vraiment. C\u2019est l\u00e0 que le discours accroche. Dire que le capital humain devient plus pr\u00e9cieux quand l\u2019IA progresse est une th\u00e8se s\u00e9duisante, et probablement juste pour les entreprises qui jouent le jeu d\u00e9crit.
