Les r\u00e9v\u00e9lations de WikiLeaks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

En 2006, Julian Assange fonde WikiLeaks, une plateforme sur laquelle les\u00a0lanceurs\u00a0d’alertes peuvent y publier de mani\u00e8re anonyme des informations confidentielles tout en prot\u00e9geant leurs sources. L’objectif de WikiLeaks est notamment de lutter contre l’opacit\u00e9 des organisations gouvernementales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En 2010, le site WikiLeaks publie des informations confidentielles sur la guerre en Irak et en Afghanistan. Au mois d’avril, la vid\u00e9o Collateral Murder est rendue publique. Disponible sur\u00a0YouTube, celle-ci montre une bavure commise par l’arm\u00e9e am\u00e9ricaine en Irak.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WikiLeaks publiera par la suite 250 00 c\u00e2bles diplomatiques am\u00e9ricains ainsi que que 500 000 documents class\u00e9s\u00a0top-secret. Ces r\u00e9v\u00e9lations ont fait la\u00a0une<\/em>\u00a0des plus grands quotidiens \u00e0 travers le monde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La fuite de Julian Assange<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Entre 2010 et 2012, Julian Assange vit au Royaume-Uni, en libert\u00e9 surveill\u00e9e. Il est accus\u00e9 par les autorit\u00e9s su\u00e9doises d’agression sexuelle. L’homme clame son innocence et affirme qu’il s’agit d’un pr\u00e9texte pour \u00eatre ensuite extrad\u00e9 vers les \u00c9tats-Unis o\u00f9 il risque d’\u00eatre enferm\u00e9 au Camp de Guant\u00e1namo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La justice britannique autorise son extradition vers la Su\u00e8de en 2012. L’homme se r\u00e9fugie alors \u00e0 l’ambassade de l’\u00c9quateur. Il y reste 7 ann\u00e9es et obtient l’asile politique puis une naturalisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Toutefois, le pr\u00e9sident \u00e9quatorien lui retire tous ses droits et sa nationalit\u00e9\u00a0en 2019. Julian Assange est alors arr\u00eat\u00e9 par la police du Royaume-Uni. L’homme est actuellement enferm\u00e9 dans la prison de haute s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de Belmarsh. Les \u00c9tats-Unis demandent son extradition, une\u00a0requ\u00eate\u00a0rejet\u00e9e le 4 janvier 2021. Deux jours plus tard, la justice britannique refuse sa demande de mise en libert\u00e9 sous caution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
